Notice to Staffing Agencies, Placement Services,
and Professional Recruiters
Lumen has an internal recruiting team to fill open roles that are posted on our external career site. In certain cases, Lumen may wish to add to its internal team’s capabilities by engaging external recruiting vendors or employment agencies (“recruiting vendors”). Recruiting vendors are hereby specifically directed NOT to contact Lumen employees directly to present candidates. Lumen’s internal recruiting team must present ALL candidates to hiring managers.
Lumen will not accept unsolicited resumes from any source other than directly from a candidate. Any unsolicited resumes or other candidate data submitted to Lumen regardless of means of transmission (email, fax, etc.) shall be considered Lumen’s property. Lumen will not pay a fee for any placement which follows, or may result from, the receipt of an unsolicited resume. Lumen will consider any candidate for whom a Recruiting Vendor has submitted an unsolicited resume to have been referred by the Recruiting Vendor free of any charges or fees.
Recruiting vendors must obtain advance written approval from Lumen’s Human Resources Team to submit resumes, and then only in conjunction with a valid, fully executed contract for service signed by an executive in Lumen’s Human Resources department. Persons outside of Lumen’s Human Resources department do not have authority to enter into a contract with any recruiting vendor. Lumen will not pay a fee to any Recruiting Vendor that does not have such agreement in place.
